Project Funding up to 60,000, available from DFID

DFID Launches Fund to Support Work of Community Groups (UK) The Department for International Development has announced the launch of its new £7 million Development Innovation Fund (DIF). This fund which is open to any small community based organisation such as Rotary Clubs.
The Fund will provide grants to support their work that targets poverty in the developing world, including development awareness work in the UK. Grants of up to £60,000 are available for one off projects lasting for up to 1 year.
Applications must show that the intended activities will improve the lives of poor people in the developing world and also how the intended work will be used to help raise awareness of development issues in the UK. Applications can be submitted at any time and will be evaluated within one of three funding rounds that the DFID are planning to hold over the next 16 months.
